**Job Summary**:
The Horizontal Boring Machine Operator(Conventional lathe) is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining horizontal boring machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires experience, technical expertise, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Machine Setup**:

- Set up horizontal boring machines according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform initial setup and adjustments to achieve the desired tolerances.
- **Machine Operation**:

- Operate horizontal boring machines to perform drilling, boring, and other machining operations.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain precision.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Verify that parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Identify and address any defects or discrepancies in the machining process.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on horizontal boring machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean and lubricate machines and tooling regularly.
- Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team for prompt resolution.
- **Safety**:

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including material usage, machine settings, and inspection results.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and targets.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Participate in training sessions to enhance machining skills and knowledge.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in horizontal boring technology.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or vocational training in machining is a plus.
- **Experience**: 5 years of experience operating horizontal boring machines(Conventional lathe).
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in operating and setting up horizontal boring machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Expertise in using precision measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
