**Role / Designation : CSSD Technician**

**Reporting to : Nursing Superintendent**

**Location / Branch : Pune**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Operation's (Process)**
- Prepare procedure cart according to surgery preference Identify and use appropriate methods and solutions to sort, disassemble, rinse and disinfect instruments.
- Remains compliant in decontamination sterilization, packaging, and distribution of instrumentation and supplies.
- Monitor efficiency of sterilizer and log details.
- Perform biological testing as per NABH Quality standards
- Preparation of surgical and instrumentation for sterilization with appropriate rotation of supplies.
- Maintain all relevant registers for CSSD & keep the records updated.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the department.
- Practice safe handling of patient care items that have been exposed to blood and/or body fluid Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to Lead Central Sterile Technician/ Unit admin Participate in in-service education and department meetings.

**Primary**: Provide support & adhere to compliance in day to day sterilization procedures

**Secondary **:Quality check & spore testing as required Key Performance Indicators Refer KPI Sheet Skills/Competencies

**Functional Skills**: Behavioral Skills :Competencies : Job Specification Minimum **Qualifications**: - Min 12th Technical Qualifications - DMST Certified (Dip in Management & Sterilization Tech)Minimum 1 to 5 years Experience Coordination with the staff and ability to work in a timbale to speak local launguage along with understanding of Hindi and English.
