**Job Summary**:
The Network and Data Center Administrator is responsible for installing**, configuring, maintaining**, and **monitoring** network systems and data center infrastructure. This role ensures optimal performance, uptime, and security across enterprise systems and supports both on-prem and hybrid environments.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Network Administration -**
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall configurations.
- Monitor network performance using tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and routing issues.
- Maintain IP address management and network documentation.

**Data Center Operations -**
- Perform server installations, patching, and hardware upgrades.
- Manage racks, cabling, power distribution, and physical security.
- Monitor server performance and environmental conditions (temperature, power, etc.).
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware servicing and support.

**Security & Compliance -**
- Ensure adherence to internal IT policies and external compliance standards.
- Support audits and maintain access logs and change records.
- Implement and enforce network and infrastructure security best practices.

**Support & Troubleshooting -**
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and change tickets within SLAs.
- Perform routine maintenance and health checks on systems.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or vendors as needed.

**Documentation & Reporting -**
- Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and inventory.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks.
- Generate usage, uptime, and incident reports as required.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in network or data center administration.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with network devices (Cisco, PaloAlto, etc.).
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and monitoring tools.
- Comfortable with Windows and/or Linux server environments.

**Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)**:

- ** CCNA / CCNP**:

- **CompTIA Network+ / Server+**:

- **VMware VCP**, **Microsoft MCSA**:

- **ITIL Foundation** is a plus
