**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform quality control testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished pharmaceutical products.
- Conduct sampling and analysis of raw materials, ensuring compliance with established specifications.
- Utilize analytical instruments, such as HPLC, UV spectrophotometer, FTIR, for analysis and testing.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good laboratory practices (GLP) during testing activities.
- Record and maintain accurate and detailed documentation of testing procedures, results, and observations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to address quality-related issues.
- Participate in the qualification and validation of analytical methods and equipment.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of deviations, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in pharmaceutical quality control.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the QC laboratory.

**Requirements**:

- A Pharmacy or Science graduate qualification is required.
- One to five years of experience in Pharmaceutical QC activities is necessary.
- Proficiency in performing sampling, raw material analysis, and utilizing instrumentation such as HPLC, UV spectrophotometer, FTIR, etc.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, SOPs, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately record and interpret data.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other analytical software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address quality issues and implement appropriate actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory audits and inspections in Uganda, such as those conducted by the National Drug Authority (NDA), is preferred.
