Roles and Responsibilities:

- **Machine Setup and Calibration**:

- Set up spot welding machines, ensuring proper electrode alignment, pressure, and power settings.
- Calibrate machines according to material thickness and welding specifications.
- **Welding Operations**:

- Perform spot welding tasks to join metal components based on blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions.
- Operate hand-held or automated welding equipment to achieve precise welds.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect welded parts to ensure weld strength, appearance, and alignment meet quality standards.
- Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing to verify weld integrity.
- **Material Handling**:

- Load and position materials such as sheet metal, brackets, or components on the welding station.
- Handle finished welded parts carefully to avoid defects or damage.
- **Tool and Equipment Maintenance**:

- Clean, replace, and maintain welding electrodes, tips, and other tools regularly.
- Report significant maintenance issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow workplace safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure proper ventilation, shielding, and safe handling of materials during welding.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Suggest improvements to welding processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- **Documentation**:

- Record production output, machine settings, and inspection results in logs or databases.
- Document any equipment issues or deviations from production standards.
- **Troubleshooting**:

- Identify and resolve common welding defects such as burn-through, weak welds, or misalignment.
- Work with the maintenance team to address mechanical or electrical faults in the welding machine.
- **Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- Work alongside production planners to meet daily output targets and deadlines.
- **General Maintenance**:

- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the welding machine and surrounding workspace.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and consumables like electrodes and cleaning brushes.

Skills and Qualifications:

- **Technical Knowledge**:

- Familiarity with spot welding equipment and techniques.
- Understanding of metal types, properties, and welding requirements.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Ability to identify and correct welding defects to maintain high-quality standards.
- **Physical Stamina**:

- Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with long hours on feet and repetitive tasks.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Quick thinking to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience in spot welding or similar metal joining processes is preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
