**_Essential Duties and Responsibilities_**

Under general direction:
1. Manage the activities of accounting clerical group who perform the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax or general accounting functions and drive performance by setting clear, reasonable objectives. Establish and use metrics to monitor success and follow-up.

2. Ensure compliance with policies and/or regulations applicable to area of responsibility.

3. Establish and improve performance metrics. Oversee system or workflow improvements.

4. Ability to identify, research, and bring resolution to complex or non-routine situations, involving supervisor and other cross functional or divisional groups as appropriate.

5. Ensure proper internal controls and other procedures are maintained to minimize risk.

6. Model and advocate SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

7. Understand. Create. Simplify.

8. Other duties as assigned.

**_ Required Qualifications_**

Associates or B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting or a related field

10+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, or general accounting.

Strong skills in computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and operation of 10-key skills.

Experience supervising others.

Detail orientated.

Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
Negative drug test result(s).

**_ Preferred Qualifications_**

Experience in an accounting department of a manufacturing or technical sales environment.
