Staff Nurse in the Occupational Health Centre (OHC) plays a critical role in providing healthcare services to employees in an industrial or corporate setting. The role includes delivering first aid, conducting health assessments, and providing treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, promoting overall employee health and well-being, and ensuring compliance with occupational health standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Clinical Duties**:
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care for minor injuries and illnesses.
- Assist in health screening programs (pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations).
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as per prescribed guidelines.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
- Assist in the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, etc.
- Maintain and update employees' medical records.
- **Health Surveillance**:
- Conduct regular health checks and risk assessments for employees.
- Screen for occupational diseases or illnesses related to workplace exposure (e.g., respiratory conditions, musculoskeletal disorders).
- Monitor employees' fitness to work and collaborate with the OHC manager for fitness assessments.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety and health protocols to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- **Health Education & Promotion**:
- Provide health education to employees on various topics like nutrition, stress management, ergonomics, and hygiene.
- Promote wellness programs and activities that enhance the health of the workforce.
- Provide information and advice on lifestyle changes, including smoking cessation and weight management.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and occupational health policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all medical treatments, interventions, and reports as per company policies.
- Assist in preparing reports on employee health trends, incidents, and recommendations.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the Occupational Health Manager or Medical Officer.
- **Infection Control**:
- Implement and ensure infection control practices in the workplace.
- Monitor and prevent the spread of contagious diseases in the organization.
- Manage the disposal of medical waste according to health and safety regulations.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:
- Be prepared to handle medical emergencies and accidents, providing first response care and arranging further treatment or transport if necessary.
- Ensure that the first-aid kit and emergency supplies are well-stocked and maintained.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- **Education**: Nursing Diploma/ Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- **Licensing**: Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Experience**: Freshers, preferably in an occupational health or clinical environment.
Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
