**Job Title**: Bakery Shift Supervisor

Location: Andheri west

The Bakery Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a bakery during their assigned shift. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of product quality and customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Bakery Shift Supervisor ensures that all baking activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Shift Management**: Oversee the bakery’s daily operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and managing staff breaks and duties.
- **Staff Supervision**: Lead, train, and supervise bakery staff, including bakers, decorators, and sales associates. Provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality production and customer service.
- **Production Oversight**: Monitor baking and decorating activities to ensure products meet quality standards and are produced on time. Adjust production schedules as needed to meet demand.
- **Customer Service**: Ensure customers receive excellent service by addressing their needs, handling inquiries, and resolving any complaints promptly and professionally.
- **Inventory Management**: Track inventory levels of ingredients, packaging, and supplies. Place orders with suppliers to ensure adequate stock is maintained without overordering.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and freshness. Address any quality issues promptly.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing health, safety, and sanitation standards. Conduct regular inspections and ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols.
- **Cash Handling and Reporting**: Oversee cash register operations, ensure accurate cash handling, and prepare shift-end reports for management.
- **Training and Development**: Train new employees on bakery procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Provide ongoing training to improve staff skills and performance.
- **Problem Solving**: Identify and address any operational issues or challenges that arise during the shift, coordinating with other supervisors or management as necessary.
- **Team Leadership**: Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, recognizing achievements, and addressing any staff concerns or conflicts.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in bakery management or culinary arts is a plus.
- Proven experience as a bakery supervisor or in a similar role within the food service or bakery industry.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship-building.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
