**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research and analyze the latest trends in ethnic wear, especially Kurtis, to create innovative designs.
- Develop seasonal collections, including sketches, mood boards, and color palettes.
- Select appropriate fabrics, embellishments, and embroidery techniques to enhance designs.
- Create detailed technical sketches and specifications for production.
- Coordinate with merchandisers, pattern makers, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Conduct sample fittings and make necessary adjustments for better fit and style.
- Source and develop new fabrics, trims, and accessories suitable for ethnic wear.
- Work within budget constraints while ensuring high-quality design output.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand consumer preferences and boost brand identity.
- Stay updated on emerging fashion trends, competitors, and customer preferences to enhance design concepts.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in designing ethnic wear, preferably Kurtis.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, embroidery styles, and Indian têxtile traditions.
- Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
- Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and an eye for color, texture, and styling.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knowledge of garment construction and pattern-making.
- Experience working with artisans and handcrafting techniques.
- Understanding of different body types and size variations in ethnic wear.
- Awareness of sustainable fashion practices.
