The Role

Infrastructure Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You’ll be there from the start of a project — understanding what’s needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.

At Kyndryl we support all major cloud platforms, so you’ll get the chance to use everything you know - and then some. You’ll also become expert at knowing when and how to call on other SMEs outside your wheelhouse. Thinking your way around pre-existing limitations will grow your creativity and flexibility. Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
Installation and configuration of data protection server software and associated components, TSM and spectrum Storage and Spectrum Backup software.
- Setting up data deduplication disk pools and tape backup devices
- Establishing replication between locations
- Understanding of network routing and firewall requirements to ensure our backups are using our dedicated backup infrastructure
- Develop and implement automated solutions to support operational and SLA objectives.
- Respond quickly and effectively to backup issues and outages
- Strong documentation skills along with the ability to train junior level personnel on day to day data backup tasks
- Provide recommendations to improve design and reduce cost
- Creation of reports for both clients and management
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for storage Backup support
- Provide technical leadership to more junior team members
- Has experience working in a large storage environment with formal change management practices
- Experience with Spectrum Protect, Spectrum Protect Plus preferred
- Experience with Brocade and Cisco zoning required
- Experience with Networker, AVAMAR, Netbackup preferred
- Must be detail-oriented with good organization skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of encryption of the Backup environment preferred
- To provide 24x7 onsite Support.
- Good communication skills, Need to participate in client meetings.
- Handle regular day to day IT Infra operations.
- Working on Service Desk tickets.
- Coordinating with IT stake holders to fix the issues.
- Participate in internal/external audits to showcase the IT compliance status.
- Perform the IT related task and update the status higher management on regularly.
- Participating in Day/Weekly status review meetings

o Excellent oral and written communication skills

o Experience in Storage and Backup tuning and configurations.

o Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
o 6-10 years of overall experience in IT Storage and Backup Domain with proven experience in Storage and Backup Operations.

o Client Meetings, External Audit

o Experience in Spectrum protect,

o Experience in TSM

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
