**What success looks like in this role**:

- Design, Implementation and Administration of Backup environments running on Various backup solutions such as CommVault, Netbackup, Rubrik, Veeam, Avamar, Druva etc.
- Backup Configuration & administration of Cloud native workloads (AWS, Azure etc).
- Propose and Implement Backup Improvement Initiatives to enhance backup Performance & Backup Success Rates.
- Troubleshoot deep technical issues in Backup environments running on the Mentioned Tools & Technologies. Drive them to Resolution.
- Demonstrate a high degree of creativity in performing tasks by identifying, proposing and implementing streamlining activities to reshape technology and processes.
- Handle Technical Escalations from Level 1 teams.
- Azure and AWS certification will be added advantage.
- Generate and analyze the various Backup Reports.
- Handle the responsibilities of being a Technical Interface for Specific Clients. Provide on Call support as required.
- Installation and Configuration of new Backup Environments using the above-mentioned tools.
- Conduct Periodic Performance Analysis and fine tune the Overall Backup infrastructure.
- Perform Backup Assessments and Audits. Report on the findings, propose plans and implement them to bridge gaps.
- Execute and follow Incident management, Change Management and Problem management in line with current ITIL Standards.
- Communicate project status, client updates etc.
- Provide weekly and Monthly status reports on projects.
- Track Backup Systems’ Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively.
- Work with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery.
- Communicate issues and solutions that may impact the team.
- Act as liaison between peer support teams, customers and vendors.
- Demonstrate a high degree of creativity in performing tasks by identifying, proposing and implementing streamlining activities to reshape processes.
- Basic understanding on the Networking concepts.
- Participate in DR exercises.

**You will be successful in this role if you have**:
**Qualification**:

- Minimum of 8 years experience in backup administration of various enterprise solutions such as CommVault, Netbackup, Backup Exec, Azure, AWS etc.
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer related courses.
- Good knowledge of various windows / UNIX based Operating systems.
- Knowledge on the Networking concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrates a professional manner in verbal, written and telephone communications.
- Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams and clients
- Knowledge in using Service Management Tool like Service Now, Remedy, Service Center etc.
- Good knowledge on ITIL processes. ITIL foundation certification would be an added advantage.
- Cloud knowledge and certification (AWS / Azure / GCP)
