**Perimeter Network Engineer**

Job Description**Job Purpose**:Job Background/context**: This position is to gather scope, design, implement, and test data center infrastructure and B2B connectivity for many clients and franchises with Citi. The work involves doing research, analyzing the current setup, understanding what the new setup needs to be to meet business requirements, understanding the network products to fulfill this and producing documentation of the network configurations as well as raising change controls and taking these approved changes and implementing them on the production network without interrupting services.The Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Network Services Perimeter/B2B team analyses internally published network and security standards and policies to design, build, and validate secure and resilient networks used by internal and external clients and franchises globally. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce a full network design document with detailed network configurations.
- Using the design document produced, create Build Packages which will include implementation plans, test plans and change controls.
- Oversee the deployment of hardware and configuration on the corporate data network. Implementing changes occurs out of business hours during the week and primarily on weekends.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Managers, local business representatives and stakeholders providing timely updates to ensure successful delivery of the projects.
- Ensure that all project management systems are updated to reflect project status and current forecasted time to deliver the solution.
- Ensure that the solution is fit for purpose, meets the business objectives and follows the companies processes and standards.
- The network engineer will manage a number of projects all at different stages of the project lifecycle. **Person Specification**Knowledge/Experience**:Skills**: - Demonstrable experience working with network and security products from multiple vendors, including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto and Checkpoint.Delivered network designs and implemented solutions using Cisco products. Strong working knowledge of at least three of the following routing protocols: EIGRP, IGRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP.Expert understanding of Cisco network router & switching technologies. Good knowledge of Data Center network, LAN and WAN solutionsExcellent knowledge of typical investment/retail banking environments or equivalent (major ISP, systems integrator, or global enterprise). Strong working knowledge of IP, IPSEC, NAT, VPN, VXLANs, B2B connectivity.Three years for experience
- Experience of using Multicast in a Cisco environment. - Working knowledge and doing work in a colo helpful. **Qualifications**:Competencies** - CCNP/CCDP/JNCIP-ENT/JNCIS-SEC or higher certification preferred. Ability to work on own initiative
