We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and customer-focused **Banquet Supervisor** to join our team. The Banquet Supervisor will oversee and manage all aspects of banquet service during events, ensuring high-quality guest experiences, seamless event operations, and effective coordination between various teams. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring the proper setup and service during events, and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Event Coordination & Supervision**:

- Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring all details are executed according to client specifications and venue standards.
- Supervise banquet staff during events, including servers, bartenders, and setup teams, to ensure timely, efficient, and professional service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service flow, correct menu items, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor event timelines to ensure everything runs on schedule.
- **Guest Service & Satisfaction**:

- Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided at all times during events, addressing any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Anticipate and meet guests’ needs by providing a memorable experience, from arrival to departure.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with guests, ensuring the overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.
- **Staff Training & Development**:

- Train new and existing banquet staff on proper service techniques, event procedures, and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed for efficient event service.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of banquet staff, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
- **Inventory Management & Equipment**:

- Ensure banquet areas are properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment before each event.
- Monitor inventory levels for banquet-related items (e.g., linens, china, glassware, silverware) and ensure timely replenishment.
- Ensure that all banquet equipment is cleaned, maintained, and in good working condition.
- **Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure all banquet operations are in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor staff to ensure proper handling of food and beverages, adherence to safety protocols, and cleanliness of banquet areas.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including those regarding alcohol service, food safety, and general conduct during events.
- **Event Follow-up & Reporting**:

- Review and confirm event details, such as guest count, menu selections, and special requests, with clients or event coordinators before the event.
- Complete post-event evaluations to ensure customer satisfaction and to identify any areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback to the Banquet Manager or Director of Food and Beverage on event successes and areas needing attention.
- **Communication & Collaboration**:

- Act as the main point of contact for banquet events, facilitating communication between clients, event coordinators, kitchen staff, and the front-of-house team.
- Work closely with the Banquet Manager and other supervisors to ensure coordination and efficiency in handling multiple events or large gatherings.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality, event management, or a related field is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a banquet or food and beverage supervisory role, preferably in a hotel, event center, or similar venue.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and staff professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and event operations.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest complaints or issues quickly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) and event management software.
