**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and monitor computer systems and networks to ensure they are running efficiently.
- Perform system backups and maintain data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating problems when necessary.
- Ensure security protocols are followed and implement data protection measures.
- Monitor and log system performance and resolve issues as they arise.
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support for hardware or software issues.
- Run and manage scheduled tasks such as data entry, file management, or system maintenance.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on hardware and software failures and escalate complex issues to senior technical staff.
- Maintain and update system logs, records, and reports.
- Monitor system alerts and notifications to ensure prompt action is taken for any errors or issues.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and ensuring proper functioning.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience as a Computer Operator or in a related technical support role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, or macOS) and office software.
- Familiarity with hardware components and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work under pressure.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with network management tools and monitoring software.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with automation tools and scheduling systems.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position may require working in shifts or being available after hours to handle urgent issues.
- The role may involve sitting for long periods and operating computer systems for extended durations.
