**About the opportunity**:
SCU College offers award, pre-degree and English language programs that provide pathways to university study and can transform lives of Australian and international students. The College is seeking a Lecturer Pathways (Teaching Scholar) to join an innovative, student-centred team teaching in the new 6-week Southern Cross Model. Your core responsibilities will include:

- Provide a high standard of teaching and learning in academic literacy and study preparation skills across College programs.
- Undertake innovative curriculum development and teaching in relevant discipline areas.
- Provide leadership to colleagues in the areas of Teaching and Learning and the coordination of pathway programs
- Contribute to the College’s profile through scholarship of learning and teaching publications and through relevant community and professional engagement.

**About you**:
You will be an enthusiastic and passionate educator, keen to enable students to succeed in their academic endeavours. More specifically, you will have:

- A teaching qualification, and a PhD in a relevant field.
- Practical experience teaching academic literacy and study preparation skills in on-campus, blended and online environments and a proven ability to effectively adapt contemporary educational teaching technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake scholarly investigations into the design, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and resources, or assessment, that supports and enhances the effectiveness of student learning in pathway programs.
- A strong track record of embedding developmental support for students from non-traditional backgrounds in curriculum.

**Salary and benefits**:

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support available.
- Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
