**Job description**
- _Operate cylindrical grinding machines to grind external surfaces of cylindrical metal workpieces to specified dimensions and finishes._
- _Set up and adjust machine controls, such as wheel speed and feed rates, according to workpiece material and specifications._
- _Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine grinding requirements and tolerances._
- _Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure conformance to quality standards using precision measuring instruments._
- _Perform routine maintenance tasks on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime._
- _Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others._
