Icu Housekeeping Staff

Job Summary: The ICU Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and
hygienic environment within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to prevent infections and ensure a
comfortable space for patients, visitors, and medical staff.
1. Cleaning Patient Rooms:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including beds, furniture, floors, and all
surfaces.
- Ensure rooms are free of dust and dirt at all times.
2. Disinfection:
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and medical
equipment to prevent the spread of germs.
3. Changing Linens:
- Change bed linens, pillowcases, blankets, and another patient bedding as
required.
- Ensure clean linens are always available.
4. Trash and Waste Disposal:
- Safely remove waste, including medical waste, and dispose of it in designated
containers.
- Empty trash bins in patient rooms, hallways, and common areas.

Restocking Supplies:
- Ensure that cleaning supplies (such as disinfectants, mops, and wipes) are
stocked and readily available.
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and other hygiene-related items in patient
areas and restrooms.
6. Maintenance Reporting:
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken equipment, damaged furniture) to
the appropriate hospital staff for repair.
7. Cleaning Common Areas:
- Maintain cleanliness in common ICU areas like hallways, restrooms, and waiting
areas.
- Ensure public areas are neat, organized, and hygienic at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to detail in cleaning and sanitizing high-risk areas.
- Knowledge of infection control practices.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Good communication skills to report issues and coordinate with the team.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- May require working around patients, medical staff, and sensitive equipment.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
