Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach undergraduate or graduate courses in biology, including lectures, laboratory sessions, and seminars.

2. Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and instructional methods to enhance student learning outcomes.

3. Engage students in active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving exercises both in and out of the classroom.

4. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students interested in pursuing careers in biology.

5. Conduct research in their area of expertise, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and seek external funding when appropriate.

6. Participate in departmental and institutional committees, meetings, and events.

7. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives.

8. Contribute to the assessment and continuous improvement of the biology curriculum.

9. Stay current with developments in the field of biology and incorporate relevant advancements into teaching and research activities.

10. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects diversity and promotes academic excellence.

11. Serve as a resource for students, colleagues, and the community on matters related to biology and related disciplines.

12. Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or academic administration.

Qualifications:
1. A Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

2. Demonstrated expertise in one or more subfields of biology, such as molecular biology, ecology, genetics, physiology, or microbiology.

3. Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, including course evaluations and/or teaching portfolios.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

5. A record of scholarly research, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.

6. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service activities.

7. Ability to contribute to the academic and professional growth of students from diverse backgrounds.

8. Experience with instructional technology and online learning platforms is desirable.

9. Willingness to engage in community outreach, public education, and science communication efforts.

10. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of biology.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹62,857.06 per month

Expected hours: 3 - 4 per week
