**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shadow Teacher to support children with special needs or learning differences in our pre-primary school setting. The Shadow Teacher will work one-on-one with a child to help them engage with the curriculum, develop social and communication skills, and ensure their inclusion in classroom activities. This position requires a commitment to creating a positive, supportive learning environment for children.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Individualized Support**: Provide personalized assistance to children with special needs, ensuring they can participate in all classroom activities and learning experiences.
- **Academic Assistance**: Support the child with their academic tasks, adapting lessons and activities to meet their specific learning needs, as directed by the class teacher or special education coordinator.
- **Behavioral Support**: Monitor and manage behavior, helping the child understand classroom rules and expectations while promoting positive behavior.
- **Emotional and Social Support**: Assist the child in developing social skills, building peer relationships, and improving communication. Help the child navigate social situations and interact with classmates.
- **Collaboration with Teachers**: Work closely with the class teacher to implement modifications and accommodations for the child, contributing to lesson plans and activities when necessary.
- **Observation and Reporting**: Keep detailed records of the child's progress, including any challenges or improvements in learning, behavior, and social interactions. Regularly update the class teacher and parents.
- **Encouragement and Motivation**: Provide encouragement and motivation to the child to help them build confidence and independence in the classroom setting.
- **Adaptation of Materials**: Modify classroom materials as needed to ensure they are accessible to the child, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- **Participation in Meetings**: Attend team meetings with parents, teachers, and specialists to discuss the child's progress and strategies for further support.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in a shadow teacher or special needs assistant role.
- Understanding of early childhood development and learning strategies for children with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Ability to adapt to the child's needs and create a supportive, engaging environment.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other learning differences.
- Knowledge of child-centered teaching methods and strategies.
- First Aid and CPR certification.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
