**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **VMC Operator** to join our team at GK Machine Tools. The VMC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce precision parts for various industries. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, technical drawings, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **VMC Setup and Operation**: Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) according to job specifications and drawings, ensuring quality and precision.
- **Tooling and Program Loading**: Load and configure tools, fixtures, and the CNC program for the machining process.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor machining processes and inspect parts during and after production for accuracy, using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**: Perform routine maintenance on VMC machines, troubleshooting issues related to equipment and processes to minimize downtime.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of production runs, tool usage, and machine maintenance.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
- **Process Improvement**: Suggest improvements for operational efficiency, machine performance, and quality control.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or a related field is a plus.
- **Experience**: Proven experience as a VMC Operator or CNC Machinist, with a minimum of one years of experience.
- **Skills**:

- Proficient in CNC programming, editing, and operating Vertical Machining Centers.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, blueprints, and machining tolerances.
- Familiarity with various machining tools, measuring instruments, and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move parts.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with VMC machine.
- Knowledge of Solid work software.
- Experience with tool offset adjustments and tool wear compensation.
