Position Title: Medical Coding Trainer

Job Overview:
Cognition is looking for a skilled and experienced Medical Coding Trainer to mentor and educate aspiring and experienced medical coders. In this role, you will design and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure participants gain proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and other coding systems. You will play a key role in shaping the next generation of medical coding professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging training programs for medical coding professionals at various levels.

Teach coding principles, regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and best practices for accurate documentation and billing.

Conduct hands-on training sessions using real-world case studies and scenarios.

Evaluate trainees' progress through assessments, quizzes, and coding audits.

Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and healthcare trends.

Provide ongoing mentorship and support to trainees during and after training programs.

Collaborate with stakeholders to customize training solutions based on organizational needs.

Maintain training materials, ensuring accuracy and relevance to current coding standards.

Qualifications:
Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).

Proven experience as a Medical Coder and/or Trainer.

In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.

Ability to create interactive and engaging training materials.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:
Experience conducting webinars or online training sessions.

Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.

Work Environment:
This position offers flexibility, with options for in-person, remote, or hybrid training delivery, depending on organizational requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
