**Job Description of Research Mentor**
**Broad Responsibilities**
You will be responsible to provide guidance, support, and expertise to a mentee
throughout their research process, helping them design experiments, analyze data,
interpret findings, develop research skills, and navigate the academic landscape to
achieve their research goals, while ensuring ethical conduct and responsible
research practices are followed throughout the mentorship.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
1. Project Guidance: Assist in selecting a research topic, developing research
questions, designing experiments, and outlining research methodologies.
2. Technical Training: Provide hands-on training on research techniques, data
collection methods, and relevant software.
3. Data Analysis and Interpretation : Guide the mentee in analyzing data,
interpreting results, and drawing meaningful conclusions.
4. Academic Development : Assist with writing research papers, preparing

and help navigate professional development opportunities.
6. Ethical Oversight : Ensure adherence to research ethics, responsible
conduct of research principles, and compliance with relevant regulations.

8. Mentorship Meetings: Schedule regular one-on-one meetings to discuss
research progress, challenges, and future directions.
