**Vertical Responsibilities**:

- To meet project schedule of pre-pilot /pilot/CUFT/SOP
- Manufacturing feasibility study of HPDC Aluminium parts from casting, machining, surface treatment & inspection point of view
- Interacting with R&D & vendors to finalize manufacturable design.
- Studying 2D & 3D & identifying critical to quality parameters of parts
- Planning optimized HPDC tonnage & machining process
- Conceptualization of HPDC die, Machining fixtures, inspection gauges
- Conducting DAP in CFT & finalizing die design, trimming die, fixture & guage design with vendors
- End to end facility & budget planning
- Conducting die & fixtures trials & optimizing parameters to achieve targeted productivity & quality of part
- Capacity planning w.r.t business plan
- Costing of parts /Dies / Fixtures / gauges
- Identifying VAVE ideas at development stage & proactive implementation
- Conducting CFT audits & closing open points before handing over project to purchase team
- Development Documentation completion & handover to related verticals
- Identifying productivity improvement, quality improvement & cost saving projects in new parts as well as running parts & implementing within timeline.

**Competency Requirements**

Technical/ Functional: _**
- Should have knowledge of HPDC casting process. Having knowledge of LPDC & GDC process will be add on advantage.
- Should have knowledge of machining processes (CNC/VMC/HMC/GPM/SPM)
- Capable of conceptualizing & developing HPDC die / fixtures /cutting tools /gauges/automation
- Capable of pricing Dies /Fixtures/Guages
- Good negotiation skills
- Should be able to plan optimized casting process, machining process & capacity for Aluminium automotive parts
- Should have well understanding of surface treatment processes (powder coating & painting)
- Should be able to understand casting & machining defects & its root causes. And able to take appropriate countermeasures to eliminate defects
