Shadow Teacher

**Position Overview**:
A Shadow Teacher is a dedicated educational professional who works closely with students requiring additional academic, behavioral, or social support. Shadow Teachers assist students in achieving their educational goals by providing one-on-one guidance and ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the classroom environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Student Support**:

- Assist the student with academic tasks, including completing assignments and understanding lessons.
- Support the student’s emotional and social development by encouraging interaction with peers and teachers.
- **Behavioral Management**:

- Implement behavior intervention plans (if applicable).
- Promote positive behavior using reinforcement techniques and strategies.
- Help manage attention, impulsivity, and other challenges specific to the student.
- **Classroom Integration**:

- Facilitate the student's participation in group activities and classroom discussions.
- Ensure the student stays engaged and on-task during lessons.
- Adapt instructions from the teacher to meet the student’s learning needs.
- **Collaboration with Stakeholders**:

- Work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists (e.g., psychologists, therapists) to monitor and report on the student’s progress.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and provide input on the student’s performance and needs.
- **Skill Development**:

- Encourage the development of essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and self-regulation.
- Help the student build independence in learning and everyday activities.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of the student’s progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Provide feedback and updates to parents and school staff regularly.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**:

- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- **Skills**:

- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child development and special education needs.
- Basic understanding of learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- **Experience**:

- Prior experience working with children or students with special needs is highly desirable.

**Work Environment**:

- Works within a classroom setting and alongside teachers.
- May also work with the student in one-on-one sessions outside the classroom.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
