**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As a Infrastructure Support at JPMorgan Chase, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate to solving business problems through innovation and modern engineering practices.
**Job responsibilities**
- Assist in daily administration of IBM iSeries computer hardware and software.
- Assist in Remote Migrations from on premise to Private Data Centre movements.
- Perform production OS IPL
- Monitor & administer automated production scheduling system.
- Performance Management - CPU Threads, Utilization, Capacity
- Perform Application Specific DASD backup.
- Add/Change User id and access management.
- Build and deployment of non-x86 (AS 400) stacks.
- Troubleshooting skills of batch jobs on AS/400 day / month-end / procedures
- Good knowledge on BRMS full backups, media management and restore objects.
- Creating / modifying BRMS control groups and other policies
- Monitor and Manage database replication tool iCluster.
- Handle activities such as backup/restore, performance tuning and configuration of environments as well as incremental backups as required.
- Handle in installation, configuration and maintenance of IBM iSeries hardware, software, networked devices, journaling, and IBM iAccess software
- Creating Implementation guides, Standard Operating Procedure, known error records & knowledgebase articles
- Good exposure to ticketing tools and understanding of Quality & ITIL process.
- Knowledge in Change Management process
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in AS/400 Server Administration and Infrastructure support**.**:
- Scheduled jobs in native and advanced job scheduler.
- Hands on experience in system i navigator and HMC GUI
- Knowledge on IBMi client access software configuration
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement will be an added advantage.
- IBMi administration automation skills
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge to work with IBM PMR support Team for resolution of technical issues.
- Manage iSeries Job Scheduler
- AS/400 User Profile Management and User Security Management (Network, System, User, Object level security)
