Legal Counsel

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

Within HPE, our **Operations, Legal and Admin teams** work across the business, providing visible accountability and measurable outcomes. With a variety of roles and responsibilities these teams really connect the dots, giving us the essential insights, support and capability to accelerate our transformation to be the world’s edge to cloud company.

**_ Responsibilities: _**
- Contributes to legal advice impacting client decisions in a country by undertaking specific legal tasks under review.
- Supports the development of routine legal awareness and training activities for clients in a country.
- Analyzes routine local legal issues and makes recommendations.

**_ Education and Experience Required: _**
- Advanced university degree in law (e.g. JD or LLB).
- Meets local legal license requirements.
- Typically 0-5 years commercial legal experience at a law firm, in
- house, or in an academic or similar institution.
- Basic knowledge of law acquired through academic, law firm, in
- house, or similar institutional exposure.

**_ Knowledge and Skills: _**
- Academic and practical legal knowledge in areas relevant to position.
- Developing knowledge of local/regional laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Emerging experience advising on legal matters.
- Basic legal writing, verbal and listening skills.
- Good analytical reasoning skills.
- English language skills to business standard preferred.
