Key Responsibilities:

- **Cleaning and Maintenance**:

- Clean dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, counters, and other prep areas.
- Ensure trash is disposed of promptly and the trash areas are kept clean.
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas for food and supplies.
- **Assisting Kitchen Staff**:

- Help with the unloading and organization of deliveries.
- Stock kitchen supplies and ingredients, making sure the kitchen has the necessary items for cooking.
- Assist with basic prep work when needed, such as chopping vegetables or preparing simple ingredients.
- **Dishwashing**:

- The primary duty is washing dishes, glassware, and utensils used during food preparation and serving.
- **Organizing Storage**:

- Ensure that the kitchen’s storage areas are tidy, including managing the proper organization of clean dishes, utensils, and cookware.
- **Ensuring Sanitation and Safety**:

- Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are sanitized according to standards.
- Report any maintenance issues to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
- **Supporting Service**:

- Assist in setting up or clearing dining areas before or after service.
- In some cases, restaurant stewards may also assist servers by delivering clean glassware or cutlery to the dining room.
