Mumbai Mobile Creches is a non-profit organisation that has supported the health, safety and education of children living on construction sites for the last four decades. It runs comprehensive day care centres on construction sites, serving children who are among the most vulnerable of the urban poor. It has been a pioneer in developing early childhood education programmes and curriculum. In Mumbai, it serves over 3500 children through approximately 25 centres every year.

Mumbai Mobile Creches is seeking an experienced person for the position of Education officer, for effectively carrying out the functions of teaching programme and meet the programme and donor’s requirements. The Education officer will be responsible for the following.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Implement, Monitor and Evaluate MMC education and library programmes
- To undertake regular visits to MMC centres.
- To develop, improve and monitor monthly timetable for the Birth-3 year olds, 3-6 years olds and 6-14 years old children
- To implement news tools and activities to enhance quality of education and library programmes.
- Preparing monthly reports and present to management
- Conduct monthly trainings for all programme staff
- To identify new material requirement for education programme
- To distribute and maintain inventory of all education material at centres with periodic stock taking.

**DESIRED PROFILE**
- A Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Human Development
- 2-3 years’ of work experience in Early Childhood care and Education is mandatory
- Cultural awareness and ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Ms Word

The Mumbai Mobile Creches’ administrative office is in South Mumbai. Working hours are 10a.m. - 6 p.m. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month is a holiday.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
