The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or any other hospitality setting. This role ensures a high level of customer service, manages staff, ensures quality standards are met, and helps achieve financial goals for the food and beverage outlets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Staff Supervision & Training**:
- Manage, lead, and motivate the food and beverage team, including waitstaff, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff.
- Train new employees on standard operating procedures, company policies, and customer service expectations.
- Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Monitor and review the performance of staff and provide ongoing feedback and development.
- **Customer Service**:
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns quickly and professionally.
- Monitor the dining experience to ensure that food and beverages meet quality standards.
- **Operations Management**:
- Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Supervise and support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas, bars, and kitchens.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
- **Quality Control**:
- Ensure food and beverage quality standards are consistently met.
- Monitor the presentation of food and beverages, ensuring they meet the company’s standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety across all areas.
- **Financial Management**:
- Help manage budgets and financial targets for the food and beverage department.
- Assist with controlling costs related to food, beverage, and labor while maximizing revenue.
- Prepare reports on food and beverage sales, costs, and other performance metrics.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, event planners, and management to ensure customer needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improving service, menus, and operations.
- **Menu Development & Promotions**:
- Work with management and chefs on menu planning and promotion of special events or seasonal menus.
- Monitor customer feedback to help improve and enhance offerings.
- Ensure the team is informed about new menu items, promotions, or special events.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with supervisory or leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Basic financial skills, such as budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.
**Work Environment**:
- The Food & Beverage Supervisor works in a fast-paced and often noisy environment.
- May require long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.
This role is crucial for ensuring a high standard of service and efficient operations within the food and beverage sector of any hospitality business.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
