**The Role**
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper who will assist accountants and our administration team. We are looking for a friendly, happy team member who will fit in with our client focused serviced based office, alongside bookkeeping experience in data entry, coding of expenses, GST calculations, Bas preparation and payroll. Xero experience is a must for this role as well as a knowledge of the ATO portal.
**What we are looking for**
- Experience in a similar Bookkeeping role, preferably within an accounting firm
- Excellent knowledge of Xero (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive client relationships and respond professionally to enquiries
- Ability to prioritise, organise, and complete work within deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- A can-do attitude, flexible and mature approach to work tasks, and a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, as well as independently
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Reliable internet connection, as this is a work-from-home role
- Fixed shift: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM IST
**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Daily reconciliations of client files;
- Processing accounts payable/receivable;
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) & Instalment Activity Statements (IAS);
- Payroll management, payroll tax and Superannuation;
- Receipt Bank Processing;
- Assist clients transition to automated cloud software systems.
- Ad hoc support to other team members
