Job title: Database Administrator

Reporting to: Technical Operations Manager

We are seeking to hire a technically skilled database administrator that is
capable of holding positions of great responsibility. In this role, you'll be the first
respondent to database problems that arise and carry out periodic maintenance
and troubleshooting.
To ensure success as a database administrator, you should be an excellent
problem-solver and communicator that is fluent in most data manipulation
languages. Ultimately, a top-notch database administrator should have extensive
knowledge of the databases under their administration and display sound
technical skills and administrative aptitude.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and modifying tables in all environments, working with the development team to understand data requirements
- Provide assistance to the development team with complex and long running queries
- Monitor the production databases for long running queries and work with the development team to implement improvements
- Create and maintain database documentation
- Manage movement of tables from production to development when needed
- Monitor database backups and performance of the Database Servers
- Development of ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) jobs to create tables for use on the tableau server
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Supporting database design, creation, and testing activities
- Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management
- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Advanced certification as an MCDBA or MCSD for.NET is advantageous
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a database administrator
- Proficiency in data manipulation languages like MY SQL
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and responsible
- Capable of working under pressure
- Up-to-date with trends and developments in database administration

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
