ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Convert requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for a proof-of-concept or solution.
- Act as coach and mentor for multiple teams of developers supporting the Innovation Lab.
- Work on assigned projects to design, develop, and test solutions to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
- Coach members of the development teams on good practice, and the use of emerging technologies in the development process.
- Review colleagues’ work and collaborate with the other teams on how to develop optimally performing, quality, and scalable solutions.
- Work with Architects to provide requirements for solution design related to the Innovation Lab environment.
- Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are being managed in conjunction with enterprise governance management.
- Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are meeting Audit, Balance & Control (ABC) requirements and are meeting quality and audit requirements.
- Improve and maintain development standards, updating for best practices and use of tools including development standards and version control. Influence and enforce architectural strategy for Innovation Cloud environment and reuse of architectural components.
- Participate in the evaluation of technical options, challenge the status quo, support the creation of solid business cases, and influence direction while establishing partnerships with key partners.
- Participate in planning for and shaping the long-term strategy, tools, and platforms that will support the delivery of Innovation Lab solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or have equivalent experience
- Strong experience Java, AWS, Springboot, Microservices etc
- 10+ years' experience in architecting Enterprise Solutions, Data Integration, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated individual that thrives in a team environment.
- Demonstrated continuous learning of new technologies. Strong development skills
- knowledge of writing complex code, and tuning.
- Experience with solution design.
- Basic understanding of data science principles and data needs.
- Financial Services industry experience.
- Agile Experience. Big Data experience. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Experience, Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure experience. Containerized Application experience. Project management experience. Spark, Scala, Java, Pro-C, Python programming experience.
