A Primary Resource Teacher (PRT) in an English language setting is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and effective English curriculum to students, typically in a primary school.

**Job Title**: Primary Resource Teacher (PRT) - English

**Job Summary**:The Primary Resource Teacher (PRT) - English will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in English language arts to primary school students. The PRT will develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and effective learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Delivery**:_

Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in English language arts. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives and standards. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet students' diverse learning needs.
- **Student Assessment**:_

Assess and monitor students’ progress through formative and summative assessments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and behavior. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- **Classroom Management**:_

Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a productive and respectful classroom culture. Address and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- **Professional Development**:_Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level teams and across departments to share resources and strategies for effective instruction.
- **Communication**:_Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Engage parents in their child's learning process through regular communication and meetings. Participate in school events, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
- **Additional Duties**:_Support extracurricular activities and school events. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
- **Qualifications**:_Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field. Valid teaching certification/license. Proven experience teaching English language arts at the primary school level. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
- **Working Conditions**:_Full-time position based in a primary school setting. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for school events or meetings.
