Akamai's Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Principal Security Architect to join our Product Security team. Grab the opportunity to make the Internet a safer place, powered by the scale of Akamai's platform.

**Shape Internet Security**

You will enhance the security of Akamai's products by working closely with development teams. Your tasks will include integrating security into the design and development of Akamai systems. You will collaborate with industry-leading security experts on a global team.

As a member of the security team, you will be:

- Working with development teams to perform security-focused design reviews.
- Partnering with development and infrastructure teams to assist with remediation of identified issues.
- Acting as a liaison between Product Security and product teams. You will be performing security reviews and providing guidance on secure design, implementation, and operations.
- Performing architectural reviews of global scale systems.
- Serving as a mentor and point of escalation for other team members.
- Working to improve Product Security processes and practices.

**Do what you love**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have experience in security architecture in a large, global environment, preferable with cloud service provider.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to design and implement complex technology solutions that meet business requirements.
- Be current with the latest security technologies, attack techniques and vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrate security knowledge across multiple specialties such as cloud security, network security, cryptography, etc.
- Have experience with threat modeling or hazard-analysis frameworks such as STAMP, STRIDE, etc.
- Have experience integrating security processes and tools into the SDLC.
- Possess the ability to manage partnerships with and communicate issues to senior technical leaders and business stakeholders.
