Corrugation Machine Operator

The Corrugation Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining corrugation machines used to produce corrugated cardboard. The operator ensures the efficient production of high-quality corrugated sheets and boxes, adhering to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Machine Setup and Operation**:

- Set up corrugation machines according to job orders and specifications.
- Operate machines to produce corrugated sheets and boxes.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure the proper formation of corrugated materials.
- **Quality Control**:

- Monitor the quality of produced corrugated materials throughout the production process.
- Perform regular checks and measurements to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Identify and correct any defects or irregularities in the products.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of corrugation machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for more extensive repairs or technical problems.
- **Production Efficiency**:

- Monitor machine performance and production rates.
- Optimize machine settings to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Keep accurate records of production outputs, machine performance, and any downtime.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Participate in safety training sessions and drills.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth production processes.
- Provide training and support to junior operators and helpers.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding production status and any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machinery operation or manufacturing is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating corrugation machines or similar industrial machinery.
- **Skills**:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with basic computer operations and production software.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment:

- The work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection is required.
