**Job Title**: Video Editor for News Channel

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Edit raw video footage from field reporters and news feeds into cohesive news segments.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and objectivity in all edited content, adhering to journalistic standards.
- Collaborate with producers and reporters to develop story ideas and execute their vision through editing.
- Incorporate graphics, lower-thirds, and other visual elements to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
- Work under tight deadlines to deliver edited content for daily newscasts and breaking news coverage.
- Maintain organized project files and archives of video assets for future reference.
- Stay informed about current events and news developments to effectively prioritize and edit content.
- Edit and optimize video content for various platforms, including television broadcasts, websites, and social media.
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth workflow.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Video Editor for a news organization or similar environment.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro.
- Strong understanding of journalistic principles and ethics, with the ability to edit news stories objectively.
- Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives through video editing.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Familiarity with broadcast standards and technical requirements for television and digital video distribution.
- Knowledge of video compression, encoding, and transcoding techniques for different platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
