**_Engineering Checker - Electrical _**

As a drawing quality engineer, one will provide checking services by systematically reviewing the Drawing & Notice for completeness of information, accuracy, conformance to Engineering Standards, Material & process standards, Engineering specifications and Design guides.

**Responsibilities**:

- Validate the detailed design of Electrical Components, Wiring Harness for various electrical and related sub systems for Caterpillar Machines
- Validate Schematics, Wiring Diagrams for electrical systems and sub systems.
- Collaborate with Design, Detailing & Releasing Teams effectively to ensure timely resolution of issues related to Drawings
- Perform Quality Assurance on all Electrical Drawings to ensure compatibility in the selection of components and wires for functional requirements
- Provide technical expertise in the analysis, development, implementation of new and revised process
- The position needs a detailed knowledge on gathering Technical data from component suppliers pertaining to Electrical Components selection such as pins, Socket, Connectors, Terminals, Wedge, Plug Seal and Boots, their usage and compatibility with AWG, Insulation range, Operating temperature range for use in various Harness and Wiring Groups.
- Work towards creating an impact on Product quality through continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging information across caterpillar systems.
- Validate the Design output thoughtfully for build issues, Manufacturing, Field Failures and Warranty issues while strengthening Electrical skills and mastery of Engineering Design concepts.

**_Required Qualification: _**

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering Curriculum with 4~7 Years’ experience.
- 4 to 7 years Engineering experience
- Familiarity with Creo 7.0 or later version with Modelling / Detailing practices.
- Working Knowledge on Teamcenter and Workflow processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and RoHS, which ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of wire harnesses
- Proficiency in the manufacturing processes, including cutting, stripping, crimping, and assembling wires, as well as testing and quality assurance to ensure the final product meets performance criteria
- Good Problem-Solving Skills, Technical Know-how ability & Accountability
- Self-Motivated and ability to communicate effectively
