The storekeeper in the hotel has the main responsibility to receive, store and issue supplies and equipment for the day to day hotel operations. Work closely with purchasing department, ensure cleanliness of all work areas, keeping storage and receiving areas clean and tidy at all times.

He/she also verifies that all supplies and goods received are listed on requisitions/orders and the delivery challans, invoices are checked and filed in the appropriate folder. Maintains par stock, inventory and stock records every month and compiles records of expenditures/consumptions etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage inventory across all departments, including food, beverages, supplies, and equipment.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to track usage and identify discrepancies.
- Procure goods from approved suppliers, negotiate terms and pricing, and create purchase orders.
- Ensure all incoming goods meet quality standards and implement procedures for proper storage and handling.
- Monitor expenses related to inventory and purchasing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and analyze consumption patterns.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand inventory needs and develop procurement plans accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members involved in inventory management and purchasing.
- Utilize inventory management software to manage stock movements, replenishment, and forecasting.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and quality supply, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and management to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organizational goals.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in inventory management or purchasing within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of food and beverage products, as well as hospitality equipment and supplies.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and purchasing systems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
