Job Description: R&D Chemist for Personal Care, Skin Care, Oral Care, and Color Cosmetics Industries

**Position Title**: R&D Chemist

**Salary Range**: ₹50,000 - ₹90,000 per month

**Working Hours**: 10 AM to 6 PM, Six days a week

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Product Development**:

- Develop and formulate new products in the personal care, skin care, oral care, and color cosmetics categories.
- Modify and improve existing formulations to enhance performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
- **Formulation of Raw Materials**:

- Formulate raw materials, including powders, liquids, and gels, to meet ingredient standards and deadlines.
- Ensure formulations are consistent with industry standards and meet scientific significance, accuracy, safety, and record-keeping requirements.
- **Research & Innovation**:

- Conduct research on new ingredients, technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create novel and effective product solutions.
- **Testing & Evaluation**:

- Perform stability testing, efficacy testing, and other relevant analyses to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Analyze and interpret test results, making recommendations for formulation adjustments as necessary.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure all formulations comply with industry regulations and standards, including safety, environmental, and labeling requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for regulatory submissions and approvals.
- **Project Management**:

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals.
- Coordinate with production and marketing teams to transition formulations from development to market launch.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to troubleshoot formulation issues and ensure consistency in product quality.
- Implement and maintain best practices in formulation and laboratory procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D within the personal care, skin care, oral care, or color cosmetics industries.
- Proven track record of developing successful formulations and products.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, raw materials, and formulation techniques.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and software used for formulation and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Additional Requirements**:

- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and

standards (e.g., FDA, EU, ISO).
- Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in the cosmetic industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
