- Scope:

- Collaborates with other Consulting Engineers in appropriate technology domains to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs- Typically interacts with individual contributors, managers, and customers regularly and provides input to Sales team in creating and demonstrating technology solutions to customers- Engage with sales teams on pre-sales activitiesConsulting Engineer Roles:

- Drives technology design, implementation, execution and/or optimization for customer projects/accounts.- Works with customers to plan, design, configure and/or diagnose Cisco’s suite of products, services and solutions to accelerate customer outcome- Supports presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design- Builds customer simulations in test labs to resolve/validate complex problems and compatibility issues- Creates and delivers customer collateral, portals, documentation and knowledge transfer- Complies with and supports company policies and processes and utilizes relevant tools to effectively execute the role and support Professional Services’ strategies and goals- Works extensively with customers along with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g: Cisco account teams, partners) on the strategy/deployment/optimization of Cisco services and solutions- Takes leadership role in execution of delivery projects and Improves solutions, methods developed in the field for use to the wider practice (knowledge sharing)- Creates, reviews and approves project deliverables e.g: Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Implementation/Change Management Plans- Leverages software skills and tools to configure, deploy and/or troubleshoot Cisco products and solutions. Contributes in the development of digital intellectual capital (e.g: scripts, digital signatures).- Acts as a focal point for problem resolution for assigned customer engagements. Assures proper and quick resolution of complex customer problems across an appropriate range of technologiesComplexity:

- Solves highly complex problems and is able to identify viable and often innovative options, and uses analytical skills and judgement to recommend an appropriate solutionExpertise:

- Typically requires BSc Computer Science or equivalent plus 5-8 years of relevant work experience. Advanced degree strongly preferred.Consulting Engineer responsibilities include
- Project Specific Skills:

- Required Skills (Must Have and should meet all the below standards for qualifying to this role)- Experience with basic networking technology. Experience with LAN Switching, Routing.- Experience with at least two Cisco Security products from - ASA, FTD, Firepower, ISE, ESA, WSA, AnyConnect- High understanding of NAT, Zoning, VPNs, Identity management.- Exceptional communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills- Knowledge of perimeter security design principles.- Desired Skills (Good to have as value add to this role)- Demonstrated abilities to juggle simultaneous work tasks ranging from system/solution integration to complex technical issues dealing with protocols, Access Points and other technical area- Experience with Cisco and Third Party network elements, Routers, switches and network management products desired- Good knowledge of failover scenarios and high availability.- Deep troubleshooting knowledge of ASA/FTD.- Configuration/troubleshooting knowledge of ISE policy management, profiling etc.- Configuration/troubleshooting knowledge of internet edge security.- Solid knowledge on AAA protocols (TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1x, EAP-TLS, EAP-PEAP & Captive Portals) as well as experience working on BYOD & Guest networks- Scripting skills (Perl, shell-scripting, XML, etc.).- Education &/ Additional Cortication’s- BE/B.Tech/BSC Computer Science or equivalent- CCNA is must, CCNP is a plus, CCIE (Security) is preferred.- CEH, CISSP,OSCP (vendor neutral will be a plus)Advantage Zensar
