**Global Category Buyer - Your next position?**
In this position, you are required to develop and implement strategies (and related tactical plans) to source assigned spend RM categories and secure supply for those categories in line business plan under supervision and guidance. You will be based in Bangalore, India and reporting to Global Category Manager.

**In this position you will be**:
Sourcing Strategy
- Drive the development and implementation of category strategies for a global portfolio of Raw Materials
- Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio
- Lead sourcing strategy development within cross functional team for key categories
- Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and key negotiations

Portfolio Management
- Negotiate contracts globally
- Select, manage and audit suppliers
- Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and actively involve creation and manufacturing
- in development of optimization plans
- Own key supplier relationship (Located regionally & worldwide), and lead GBS escalated supplier conflict resolutions
- Communicate to suppliers any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications
- Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts
- Ensure vendor performance at target levels
- Motivate and drive suppliers’ engagement towards all sustainability initiatives
- Deliver on targets such as savings, delivery performance, risk management and overall cash flow related to the assigned portfolio of RMs.

Stakeholder Relationship
- Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Segment BP any market conditions changes which may affect the Business
- Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to
- Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed
- Work on Scope 3 improvement with suppliers to reach our targets on CO2 emissions
- Engage with relevant GBS teams to ensure the tactical plans are being implemented as desired to deliver on the overall portfolio strategy.

Cost Optimization
- Provide sufficient information for business planning process
- Develop cost reduction projects
- Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities

**Your professional profile includes**:

- 5 years’ experience in Procurement and/or functional experience in regional or global scope
- University degree with Chemistry preferred or relevant experience in F&F / FMCG / Chemical Industry
- Has handled a portfolio of RMs and has experience of at least 3 years of negotiating contracts independently
- Knowledge of F&F/FMCG/Chemical industry
- Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category
- International or Global exposure is required
- Fluent in English, other languages is an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills
- Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
- Passion for success with a high energy level
- Able to travel, expecting 40% of travelling
