**_Material Requirement Planning Supervisor _**

Employees in this role supervise employees in the Material Planning Analyst role who work directly with a specific group of suppliers, customers (i.e. manufacturing plants, other logistics centers, and Tier 1 suppliers) and cross-functional business partners on a daily basis to help ensure uninterrupted availability of material replenished from sources, via the global ILC Network, to various customer locations in direct response to our customers’ requirements.

**_Span of Accountabilities/Responsibilities _**
- _Supervising Material Planning Analyst teams of 5-12 full-time and agency equivalent resources. _
- _Administering Caterpillar’s career planning and performance management process. _
- _Leading and supervising teams responsible for_
- _Coordinating NPI programs and new part releases with customers and process partners. _
- _Validating requirements and collaborating with customers. _
- _Collaborating schedule placement with sources. _
- _Expediting with sources and coordinating with process partners on critical material shortages. _
- _Coordinating with sources and process partners to address quality, performance, transportation and logical transaction issues impacting material availability. _
- _De-expediting with sources following requirement reductions and removals. _
- _Coordinating engineering change level and RSSM processes with process partners. _
- _Participating in the development of best practices, process and system improvements and standard work. _
- _Ensuring adherence to best practices, processes and standard work and achievement of key KPIs. _
- _Coaching, mentoring and training employees in their ongoing development and growth. _
- _Leading teams on special projects with suppliers, customers and process partners that significantly impact material availability to our customers. _

- _Customer material availability levels _
- _Customer backorder levels and average backorder age _
- _Supplier shipping performance _
- _Supplier past due levels _
- _Percent of short-dated supplier collaborations _
- _Schedule de-expedite effectiveness _
- _EIS engagement and other key indices. _

**Qualification**:
**_Required: _**
- _Bachelor’s degree in any stream. _
- _Strong interpersonal skills. _
- _Ability to work and lead projects in an inclusive, team environment. _
- _Strong language and communication skills for location/region. _
- _Strong knowledge of computer systems. _
- _Strong understanding of company policies and procedures. _
- _2-3 years of leading or coordinating projects and project teams. _
- _At least 3 years of Material Planning experience or comparable logistics or supply chain experience. _

**_Desired: _**
- _Knowledge of 6 Sigma, CPS and Lean. _
- _Supply Chain or Logistics certifications (i.e. APICS, CPS, etc.). _
