ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTUREBUSINESS: Industrial & UXBLOCATION: Coimbatore, IndiaDIRECT REPORTING: Director – OperationsFUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Operations POSITION DETAILSPosition SummaryThe Planning Manager will be responsible for overall leadership, coordination and communication of the planning process for Industrial & UXB segments. The role will work closely with supply chain, sales, operations, and product management for each to build a robust planning process and alignment with the SIOP, which will maximize the link between customer demand and material supply. This role will also be a mentor and leader for the planning function. Principal ActivitiesProcess improvement of the planning processWork closely with support functions to ensure the revenue targets are achievedOwn & improve the metrics Customer OTD & Inventory turnsEstablish capacity management process across the value chain including Engineering, SCM, Suppliers, Stores, Assembly & TestingManage the schedule for production and all deliverablesEstablish and revalidate stocking program (PFEP)Develop and maintain the forecast and master schedule within capacity constraints, and in support of the operating plan, to achieve on-time shipments to customersWork with Plant Managers, Materials Managers, and Commercial Operations to pulse the master schedule and forecast to ensure the plan is tracking to the perpetual internal and external needs of market demandSupport and expand on all opportunities to level load the plan to drive improvements in inventory, fulfillment, cycle time, capacity management and growthUtilize ERP system to manage material flow and work prioritizationReview established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.Ensure material flow to the production line without material shortage and with appropriate inventory levelProvide strong interface between Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Operations to reduce all costs and cycle times to determine line rates, including 12-month planning horizonsMentor and develop the planning teamAll other tasks and responsibilities as assigned CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSKnowledge Skills & AbilitiesStrong MRP skills and disciplinesStrong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trendsPrevious experience with master scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management and procurementExcellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.A strong ability to be adaptable and flexibleStrong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environmentA self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced environment that is continually changingHighly motivated, results oriented, drivenMust demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsExperience coordinating many small projects/activities at one time.Expert proficiency with ERP systems required; SME or experience in new ERP implementation preferred Education & ExperienceA minimum of bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or other related field note: experience will be considered in lieu of a degree15+ years progressive experience as a supervisor in sales and operations planning roles CIRCOR is an EEO Employer of Females / Minorities / Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities
