**Role Objective**:

- CIO is accountable to develop a technology vision and roadmap and align its implementation with the organizations long term business strategy and drive continuous improvements within the IT budget.
- Digital Transformation to reduce process, system redundancies and cost and increases in overall productivity
- Support Leadership and department heads by suggesting relevant IT/Digital solutions to increase efficiencies/capabilities and also partner with them in implementation
- Masters/Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering
- 15-20 Years exp with 2-3 years in similar role
- Understanding of manufacturing organization-industry and governing bodies, IT project management, ERP knowledge(SAP)
- Strong facilitation skills, ability to juggle with conflicting priorities
- Influential, result oriented, industrial knowledge, effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills

**Deliverables**:
IT Strategy,Policy Definition and Digital Transaformation roadmap
- Conceptualize and implement Technology roadmap and Architecture to enable global service delivery to end customers
- Benchmark IT with peer organizations and demonstrate IT leadership including innovative ways of IT service delivery and resource optimization
- Ensure IT Governance and effective policy rollouts
- Plan the yearly budget for the department and present it to the management for approval
- Drive change management in alignment with business vision and ensure adoption of new tools, platforms, hardware etc.

**_IT Infrastructure architecture end operations_**
- Monitor parameters like reliability, security, scalability system uptime and cost of the IT infrastructure of the company and plan technological up-gradations in order to gain competitive advantage in the market
- Oversee the back office computer operations like helpdesk, management information system, including servers, IT asset management, IT security and infrastructure
- Sign off procurement of hardware and ensure its installation and monitor all hardwaremaintenance
- Examine and identify areas of improvements within the IT function for effectiveness and efficiency and provide recommendations to the COO for implementation
- Lead periodic meetings with senior executives from VBUs/HBUs/enabling functions to understand IT related requirements, monitor progress of IT related projects and processes. Identify and resolve anybottlenecks
- Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems
- Ensure business alignment of systems, productivity enhancements using IT and user experience enhancements
- Ensure renewal of licences for any external platforms (SAP, Oracle etc.)
- Identify automation opportunities, process simplication opportunities and monitor implementation and stabilisation

**_Risk and Information security_**
- Monitor BCP plan execution and align with the InfoSec leader to ensure compliant implementation across the function
- Ensuring the infrastructure and server protection from external attacks, hacking attempts and draw out plans for mischances

- Manage Information security incidents and monitor responses and TAT
- Lead fire-fighting situations and work with delivery teams/project teams/InfoSec to stabilise business and new project implementation

Operational Excellence
- Partner with leadership on key people initiatives like Diversity & Inclusion, Corporate Social responsibility, Safety initiatives, support in attracting talent, campus connect
- Actively contributing to the initiatives which have an impact on the effective operation and governance of the location (i.e. local interventions arising out of any ISO / Surveys/ BCP)
- Participate actively in helping & establishing the brand at respective location

**_Compliance, certification management and Audits_**
- Ensure security certifications are updated in the IT systems
- Design and sign off compliance checklist for team members and conduct periodical audits

**_Vendor Management_**
- Manage relationships with vendors for purchasing, service and support of all information systems and technology related matters
- Lead and monitor security assessments for vendor platforms being considered
- Oversee the smooth implementation of projects with vendors
