**Job Description of Project Officer**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Planning**
- Assist in developing project plans, objectives, and scope.
- Create detailed project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation plans.

Project Execution:

- Coordinate and communicate with project team members, ensuring they

understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor project progress and identify and address any issues or delays.
- Implement project management methodologies and best practices.

Documentation:

- Maintain project documentation, including project charters, progress reports,

and change requests.
- Ensure all project records and files are organized and up to date.

**Stakeholder Communication**:

- Facilitate regular communication with project stakeholders, keeping them

informed about project status and changes.
- Address stakeholder concerns and maintain positive relationships.

**Resource Management**:

- Assist in resource allocation, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor resource usage and optimize resource allocation to meet project goals.

**Risk Management**:

- Identify and assess project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address any issues that may impact project success.

**JD & Qualifications of a Project Officer**

**Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project

requirements.
- Conduct quality checks and quality assurance activities as needed.

**Budget Management**:

- Assist in managing the project budget, tracking expenses, and controlling costs.
- Report on budget status and financial performance.

**Reporting and Evaluation**:

- Generate regular project status reports for project managers and senior

management.
- Evaluate project outcomes and gather lessons learned for continuous

improvement.

Administrative Tasks:

- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking meeting

minutes, and organizing project-related documentation.

Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure that the project complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry

standards.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts,

agreements, and reports.

**JD & Qualifications of a Project Officer**

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL SET**
- Master’s Degree, preferably MBA.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience of handling Funded International & National

projects.
- Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2 etc) is preferred.
- Strong organizational & time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software’s and tools.
- Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and Best Practices.
- Problem solving and analytical abilities.
