**Outreach**
- To participate in citizen engagements on behalf of the campaign and/ or the organisation.
- To disseminate information through organising workshops, seminars etc
- To engage in public education and participate in planning and strategic development of public awareness campaigns, under the guidance and support of senior campaigners and/or the campaign manager

**Networking**
- To have good communication skills.
- To participate and contribute to the alliance-building process with the affected communities.

**Research**
- To develop a working knowledge of the assigned campaigns issue and a good understanding of CFA positions on specific areas related to the campaign as may be defined from time to time.
- To be able to research and communicate internally and externally on issues related to the campaign which will feed into the campaign goals.
- To develop an understanding of and exposure to, the roles that science, politics, economics, industry, media and social change play and their strategic implications on campaigning through interactions with team members and training.
- To collect, analyze and interpret data (including financial data) and communicate them to the general public in simple understandable language.
- To organize programs to enhance the capacities of civil society groups and the general public on the impact of WTE incineration on public and community health.
- To contribute to and publish newsletters, reports, blogs, articles and policy analysis/briefs regularly.

**Expected qualities**
- Ability to work with communities who have been affected by WTE incineration plants and their organizations.
- Ability to network and work with a range of organisations
- Campaigning abilities - hold public meetings, run social media campaigns,
- Ability to work in a team and become a team player
- Commitment towards social change and environmental protection
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Sensitivity towards gender and caste concerns
- Self aware, driven and creative

**Qualification and Work Experience**
- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelors/Masters in the social sciences or related fields
- Relevant work experience of at least 3-5 years

The JD will undergo changes from time to time, in consultation with the employee.
