**Responsibilities of the Role**:

- Strong knowledge and must have hands-on experience onAIX, VIO and HMC
- VIO upgrades/adapter firmware upgrades/VIOfailover/maintenance procedures
- HMC updates/frame upgrades/Live partition mobility/DLPAR/troubleshootingHMC issues
- Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.
- Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS.
- Develop procedures for AIX security and management.
- Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIXsystem environment.
- Identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Analyse software and hardware environments to determineany system defects.
- Perform maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures toensure business continuity.
- Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts.
- Flexibility to work outside of Business Hours to supportany critical issues
- Knowledge on and ability to follow Incident, Request,Problem and Change Management Process.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting.
