Job opportunity for Forging Die Designer with experience in designing dies for mechanical presses, screw presses, up setters, and drop hammers.

Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering

Salary 15 to 18 lcs PER Anm

The role involves working closely with the production team to ensure that the dies meet operational and technical requirements, resulting in high-performance parts with reduced waste and improved cost efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop forging dies for mechanical Press, screw presses, Hydraulic Press, up setters, and drop hammers, ensuring compatibility with equipment specifications and production capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to create efficient, durable, and precise dies for forging operations. Improve material yield by optimizing die designs to reduce material waste, minimize flash, and maximize raw material utilization.

Perform detailed analysis and simulation of forging processes to ensure the dies provide consistent, high-quality production results.

Review and update existing die designs to improve performance, lifespan, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with metallurgists to select appropriate materials and treatments for dies to ensure longevity and resistance to wear and heat. Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.
- Use CAD/CAM software to create 2D and 3D models, perform simulations, and generate CNC programming for die manufacturing.
- Conduct design validations and coordinate with the production department for trial runs and modifications.
- Troubleshoot die performance issues during production runs and implement corrective actions to improve output. Maintain records of die designs, modifications, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:. Proven experience in designing forging dies for mechanical presses, screw presses, Hydraulic Press, upsetters, and drop hammers. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar). Strong understanding of forging processes, die mechanics, material flow, and forging defects.
- Knowledge of material yield optimization techniques and strategies for minimizing waste in forging operations. Familiarity with metallurgical properties and heat treatment processes for die materials. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Preferred Skills: Experience in simulation software for forging processes. Knowledge of CNC machining and programming for die manufacturing. Prior experience with material yield improvement in a manufacturing setting
