We have Urgent Open Position for Resident Medical Officer
Qualification-MBBS /BAMS/BUMS
Experience-2 to 5 Years
As a Duty Doctor, also known as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO), you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to patients within a healthcare facility, typically in a hospital setting. You will work under the supervision of senior medical staff and play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of patients during your shifts.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized medical school or university.
- Valid medical license or registration to practice medicine in the jurisdiction where the healthcare facility is located.
- Completion of a rotating internship or residency program in a hospital setting, with hands-on clinical experience across various specialties.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical principles, practices, and standards of care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the staffing schedule.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated on medical advancements, guidelines, and best practices.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required, depending on the healthcare facility and specialty area.
**Key Responsibilities**
Provide medical care and treatment to patients admitted to the hospital, including emergency cases, inpatients, and outpatients.
- Conduct initial assessments and examinations of patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing medications, treatments, and therapies as necessary.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans and interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations, providing advanced life support and resuscitation as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and facilitate multidisciplinary rounds.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information, education, and emotional support regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures for patient care, infection control, medication management, and safety standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and clinical outcomes.
