Our collections are designed to empower women, combining thoughtful design with eco-friendly têxtiles and sustainable practices. We are looking to expand our design team with a creative, detail-oriented, and strategic apparel designer to help us craft collections that resonate with our brand ethos.

What We Are Looking For:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Design & Collection Development**: Work with the design team to conceptualize and create seasonal collections that align with _WhySoBlue’s_ brand identity.
- **Textile & Print Design**: Develop original têxtile prints and patterns. Have strong knowledge of fabric sourcing and têxtile manipulation techniques.
- **Technical Design**: Create tech packs and technical drawings for garments, ensuring accurate specifications for production.
- **Vendor & Production Management**: Collaborate closely with fabric suppliers, printers, and production teams to ensure that designs are executed smoothly, on time, and within budget.
- **Trend Analysis**: Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and sustainability practices to ensure collections are fresh and relevant.
- **Creative Innovation**: Bring fresh, innovative design ideas to the table while maintaining the brand's commitment to sustainability and conscious fashion.

Qualifications:

- A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in apparel design, particularly in the women’s wear category.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
- Excellent knowledge of têxtile types, print design, and fabric sourcing.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work with vendors, printers, and the production team.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing your design skills, including apparel designs, têxtiles, and prints.

Preferred:

- Experience in sustainable fashion or knowledge of eco-friendly materials and practices.
- Familiarity with garment tech packs, fit sessions, and production processes.
- Previous experience working with vendors and managing production timelines.
